VEG is seeking a Veterinary Nursing Shift Lead to keep each shift moving, ensuring top-tier patient care and empowered VEGgies. You’ll guide team huddles, manage workflow, and coach on the floor with empathy and ownership.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, open-concept ER environment, handling diverse cases (including exotics) and collaborating with leadership to plan coverage and ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred or in VEG Credentialing Support Program.
• 1+ year of experience in veterinary technician or assistant role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Strong grasp of clinical workflow and team dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient status awareness, team bandwidth, and shift-wide needs.
• Manage daily workflow and pivot during unexpected events.
• Assign and adapt shift roles with clarity and care.
