Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Boston is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line team. You will help pets in emergencies, perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while supporting pet parents in stressful moments.

You'll collaborate with doctors and teammates to provide gold-standard care, with opportunities to grow skills through VEG's mentorship and clinical programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA- accredited degree preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT).
• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and practice management software familiarity.
• Able to stand long hours, lift up to 25 kg, and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person like they matter; provide nursing care and emotional support.
• Perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions and related procedures.
• Coordinate with doctors and team to maintain care flow.
• Respond to emergencies with CPR and rapid action.
