Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Boston seeks a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician. You will work on the front lines of emergency care, handling triage, treatments, anesthesia, and critical care nursing. You will collaborate with doctors to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their families.

This role offers nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis, with opportunities for learning, mentorship, and career growth within a supportive VEG environment.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state of practice required (CVT/RVT/LVT).
• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program strongly preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in veterinary technician roles; emergency experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care and emotional support from first triage to discharge.
• Utilize advanced techniques and equipment as needed to stabilize patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and teammates to maintain smooth patient flow.
• Maintain compassionate, people-centered care for clients and pets.
• Adhere to safety protocols in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Participate in ongoing learning and skill development.
