Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Monterey, CA is seeking an exceptional Licensed Veterinary Technician for our ER team. The role includes anesthesia induction and monitoring, emergency triage, and radiography, with opportunities to mentor others in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) in good standing.
• Experience in emergency medicine and triage is preferred.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and recover patients with proper equipment.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Acquire and interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Administer medications and place IV catheters as needed.
• Mentor and train other staff.
• Provide compassionate care to critically ill or injured pets.
