Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians or Assistants for our busy Emergency department. We offer a competitive pay range per hour and shift differentials for nights and weekends, with opportunities to grow through our leveling system and ongoing education programs.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform radiography, and support veterinarians in critical care.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency veterinary care preferred.
• Ability to induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Proficiency in triage, radiography and critical patient assessment.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in emergency patients.
• Triage incoming cases and monitor vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with correct technique and patient positioning.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Administer medications and calculate dosages accurately.
• Place IV catheters and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Mentor and train other team members; support client communication.
