Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Avondale, AZ is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform digital radiography, monitor vitals, and assist with CPR and IV catheter placement.

You will mentor teammates and deliver compassionate care to critically ill or injured patients in a fast-paced, learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients
• Triage emergency cases on arrival and monitor vitals
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning
• Understand normal ranges of vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes
• Assist with CPR and rapid response when needed
• Place intravenous catheters and manage phlebotomy
• Mentor and train co-workers
