Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. You will support anesthesia induction, monitoring, triage, radiography, and critical patient care alongside expert veterinarians.

You will also help mentor teammates and provide compassionate care to distressed pets and their owners in a fast-paced setting, with opportunities for growth and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency and critical care environments.
• Proficiency with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Skilled in phlebotomy, IV catheters, and venipuncture.
• Capable of mentoring and training teammates.
• Compassionate care for pets and clear communication with owners.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Understand normal vital sign ranges and alert Veterinarian as needed.
• Identify at-risk patients and initiate CPR when required.
• Administer meds and calculate medical math per protocol.
• Place feeding tubes and central lines as needed.
• Mentor and train coworkers; address client concerns.
