Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group in Dallas seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team. You’ll work with doctors across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, delivering gold-standard, compassionate care for pets and their families.

Candidates bring a CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT in-state, an AVMA-accredited degree, and 1+ year ER experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology strongly preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where VEG practice is located.
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line emergency nursing care from triage to discharge.
• Support diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and transfusions.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure gold-standard care.
• Offer empathy and education to pet parents.
• Operate with advanced techniques as needed.
