Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Texas is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced emergency team. You will work on the front lines, handling a wide range of emergencies, from triage to critical care, while delivering compassionate care for pets and their owners.

You will perform anesthesia, diagnostics, and advanced procedures, collaborating with veterinarians and ER staff to ensure gold standard outcomes. Evening and weekend shifts are required in a high-volume hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology degree strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state is required; VTS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support.
• Assist in triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care.
• Administer meds and monitor patient responses (IVs, CRIs, transfusions).
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain care flow.
• Communicate clearly with team and clients; support care plans.
• Perform advanced procedures and use diagnostic tools as trained.
• Advocate for patients and families during stressful moments.
• Operate and maintain equipment and records with accuracy.
