Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group The PC is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Clifton, NJ. You will join a fast-paced ER team delivering high-quality care for pets in emergencies, from triage through recovery, with strong mentorship and growth opportunities.

Ideal candidates hold AVMA-accredited credentials, have 1+ year of veterinary technician experience (ER a plus), and can work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician in the state where the VEG practice is located is required; VTS is a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role, emergency experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care nursing.
• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Handle IVs, CRIs and blood transfusions as needed.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure smooth care flow.
• Perform CPR and assist with imaging, sample collection and tubes.
