Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group in Willow Grove, PA is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our ER team. You will participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care nursing, delivering compassionate, gold-standard care for pets and their families.

The role requires a credentialed veterinary technician with 1+ years of experience, AVMA-accredited education, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays in a fast-paced ER

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located is required; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; able to support teammates.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line emergency nursing care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia and critical care nursing.
• Assist doctors and team to deliver gold standard, empathetic care for pets and their families.
• Handle IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, monitoring and sample collection.
• Assist in imaging, anesthesia, and advanced techniques as needed.
• Maintain clear communication and support the care plan across the hospital team.
