Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in Virginia. You will work on the front lines of veterinary emergencies, handling triage, treatments, anesthesia, and monitoring while providing compassionate care to pets and their families.

Ideal candidates have AVMA‑accredited training, CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credentials, and 1+ year of ER experience. Expect a fast‑paced environment with mentorship and opportunities for growth within VEG ER for Pets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in veterinary technology strongly preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVt/LVMT) in the state where VEG practice is located.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role, emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from triage to discharge in critical care settings.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and treatments.
• Support doctors and team in high‑stress emergencies.
• Perform CPR and utilize advanced techniques (IVs, CRIs, blood products).
• Communicate effectively with the team and pet families.
