Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Virginia is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will perform triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while supporting pet parents through stressful moments.

You will collaborate with doctors and team members to deliver gold-standard care, handle a range of cases, and grow your clinical skills in a fast-paced ER environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in AVMA-accredited veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state.
• 1+ years in veterinary technician role; ER or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments and emotional support in emergencies.
• Triaging, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, transfusions and advanced procedures.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, team and pet parents.
• Perform diagnostics, imaging, sample collection and minor procedures.
