Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Falls Church, VA seeks a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician. You will join the front lines of emergency care, handling triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing with a compassionate, patient-centric approach.

You should be CVT/RVT/LVMT with AVMA accreditation preferred and 1+ year ER experience. Expect a fast-paced environment, flexible hours, and opportunities for growth within VEG.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential required in the state.
• 1+ year experience in veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty preferred.
• Able to use practice management software and EMR systems with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, diagnostics, and critical care nursing.
• Support doctors and team in delivering gold standard care.
• Operate within a fast-paced ER environment while communicating clearly.
• Perform required procedures including IVs, CRIs, blood products when needed.
• Utilize diagnostics, imaging, sampling, and tube placement as directed.
• Maintain a calm, compassionate presence for patients and families.
• Contribute to continuous learning and skill development.
