Job summary

LEHR is seeking an Emergency Vehicle 12V Installer for our Troy location. Join a team focused on building vehicles that support first responders and gain hands-on experience wiring, mounting, and integrating 12V systems.

Responsibilities include removing components, installing equipment, and following safety protocols. Competitive hourly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with 12V electrical systems.
• EVT certified or 1 year experience with emergency vehicle equipment installation.
• Ability to read schematics or wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components.
• Install emergency vehicle equipment including light bars, sirens, speakers, push bumpers, partitions, and more.
• Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems.
• Perform 12V electrical wiring and system installations.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Organize tools and inventory.
