Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an EMS Communications Coordinator to manage incoming emergency requests and coordinate EMS referrals within the network. The role requires coordinating ground and air notifications, dispatching teams, and ensuring accurate data entry in the communications center.

Candidates should have EMT training and PA EMT or Paramedic licensure (or EMS Compact privilege) with preferred dispatching experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an EMT program.
• PA EMT or Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the EMT or Paramedic level.
• Preferred: Dispatching experience with an EMS agency or emergency operations center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and directs ground and air notification for incoming ambulances.
• Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within WPAHS facilities.
• Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center.
• Provides direct communication to security staff and dispatches officers when indicated.
• Monitors safety and security for areas of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
