Job summary

Our Saviour’s Community Services operates a 38-bed emergency shelter and housing program for single adults, providing meals and support services. The Shelter Worker will ensure the shelter is clean, safe, and welcoming, while supporting guests, volunteers, and staff.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, with a 32-hour weekly schedule, reporting to the Emergency Shelter Manager; a focus on professionalism and compassionate service is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to use standard office equipment and software.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Spanish, Somali, Arabic, Ukrainian, Russian, or Farsi/Persian language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSCS mission and policies.
• Assist shelter guests, volunteers, and internal customers.
• Operate front desk and monitor entry/exit and security cameras.
• Perform housekeeping and ensure cleanliness and safety.
