Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED REQUIRED.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field PREFERRED.
• Equivalent work experience with social services and/or homeless programs a plus

Responsibilities

• Welcome and record attendance for participants and monitor movement.
• Orient new residents to all house procedures.
• Provide a safe, friendly, supportive environment.
• Work compassionately with those who have difficulty engaging.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Maintain daily recordkeeping and an accurate bed list.
• Set up tables for meals, hand out bedding, clothing, and toiletries when necessary.
• Ensure the facility is cleaned, and that participants have completed assigned chores.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• Other duties needed to help fulfill the mission: 'The Poor should never be treated poorly'.
