Job summary

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas is seeking an Emergency Svcs Concierge (PRN) to provide customer-service focused support in the ED lobby and waiting areas. You will greet patients, assist with check-in, and help manage supplies and patient rounds using AIDET principles.

You will collaborate with Public Safety and Security, handle visitor inquiries, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment while upholding hospital policies and standards across adult, pediatric and OB ED pathways.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Previous experience in customer service/guest relations required; bilingual applicants receive preference.
• Strong ability to work well with others.
• Interpersonal skills to deal with diverse groups and build relationships.
• Effective written and verbal communication; understand policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and own the lobby and waiting areas; greet patients, assist check-in, ensure mobility devices are available, and maintain cleanliness.
• Address questions, complaints, or concerns from visitors or patients in the lobby and waiting room.
• Assist Public Safety with visitor badging and follow visitation guidelines.
• Complete patient rounds using AIDET and report questions or concerns to the unit charge nurse.
• Collaborate with security to maintain a safe, welcoming environment in main lobbies and ER waiting rooms; escalate safety concerns.
