Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in dispatch center preferred, with experience using radio, PA systems, pagers and multi-line phones.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitors the status of systems within the dispatch center; reports outages in a timely manner; follows system outage protocols.
• Communicates with internal and external responders by 2-way radio, telephones, pagers, text messages/SMS, and the public address system; responds to critical alarms and relays information to responders.
• Maintains confidential information and adheres to hospital policies; answers all calls promptly and relay information to appropriate responders.
• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls, determines urgency, and dispatches security officers accordingly; coordinates with external fire and law enforcement as required; utilizes CCTV to monitor and communicate with responders.
