GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking an ED support role focusing on patient admissions and efficient flow. You will assist with patient arrivals, escort to radiology, and ensure supplies and carts are ready for rapid care delivery.

Under supervision, you will support RN/MD staff, maintain triage standards, and communicate compassionately with patients and families while multitasking in a busy environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA program completion mandatory.
• Certification: CNA license and CPR required at the time of hire or licensure.
• EMR/EMT/CRT/Paramedic program completion preferred or required depending on role.

Under general supervision, performs operational tasks related to the admission of inpatients and outpatients coming to the Emergency Department of GBMC. Ability to multitask in fast paced atmosphere while maintaining GBMC values for initial customer service contact. Escort patients as necessary to ED from general waiting room and to radiological areas when necessary. Replenishes clinical supplies and checks clinical carts as assigned. General participation in promoting efficient flow of multi-unit environment.

Under general supervision of the RN or MD, provides clinical support to unit staff in the care of patients and familiesEducation: High school or GED. Graduate from an accredited CNA program and graduate from an accredited Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Cardiac Rescue Technician (CRT), or Paramedic program. Licensure: Current and valid CNA license. Current and valid Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Cardiac Rescue Technician (CRT), or Paramedic. Current and valid CPR Certification. Experience: Minimum one year hospital or related experience. Skills:

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the defined triage criteria, including all levels of care and complaints treated within urgent care versus emergent care.
• Skill in providing customer service.
• Courteous and compassionate interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients, visitors, physicians, and other staff.
• Skill in problem solving.
• Ability to anticipate and prioritize needs of patients and staff and multitask in stressful situations autonomously.
• Skill in using computers.
• Thorough knowledge of role expectations and scope of practice.
• Ability to partner with RN/MD staff.
• Knowledge in medical terminology preferred.
• Basic knowledge of pre-hospital care and management of patients.
• Basic first-aid.

Pay Range

$17.64 - $27.48

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
