Qualifications

• Listed as Nursing Assistant I by the NC Department of Health and Humans Service; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and equipment procurement.
• Review patient care documentation and report significant changes to a nurse or physician.
• Perform clerical tasks including organizing workload, greeting visitors, reviewing and transcribing orders, and maintaining medical records.
• Provide clinical support such as cleaning work areas, troubleshooting equipment, transporting patients and supplies.
• Provide direct personal care per plan of care (bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation) and record vitals.
• Reinforce patient teaching and distribute education materials.
