Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work with medical providers and the care team to use established nursing models and advocate for patients and families.

You will assess pain, perform procedures, document care thoroughly, respond promptly to requests, and educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and self-management for better outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days of start date
• BLS within 30 days of start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of start date
• RN license in good standing
• Associate Degree required
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management
• Perform procedures and document care in the medical record promptly
• Respond to patient requests and anticipate needs to resolve issues
• Educate patients/families about conditions, treatment plans, medications and side effects
• Educate on non-medical follow-up measures and self-management
