Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department in Illinois. The RN will perform rapid assessments, stabilize patients, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient emergency care.

You will monitor patient conditions, support physicians during procedures, operate critical care equipment, educate families, and ensure accurate EMR documentation to support continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification or as per facility guidelines.
• TNCC certification preferred or required by facility.
• Minimum 1 year ER/ED/trauma/critical care nursing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, trauma care, and cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care using triage protocols.
• Provide direct nursing care for medical, surgical, traumatic, and emergency conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments.
• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and response to treatment.
• Assist physicians during emergency procedures and resuscitations.
• Operate emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors and ventilators.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and coordinate admissions/transfers.
