Job summary

MedCadre seeks a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ED RN will rapidly assess, stabilize, and treat patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure timely and effective care.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, ADN or BSN, BLS/ACLS (PALS/TNCC preferred), and has ED or critical care experience.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
Graduate of an ADN or BSN program.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS/TNCC as required.
Minimum 1 year ED or Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of emergency care, monitoring, and interventions.

Responsibilities

Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care by acuity.
Provide emergency nursing care for medical, surgical, traumatic, and critical conditions.
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergent treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient condition and respond promptly to changes in status.
Assist with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and life-saving interventions.
Operate cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other emergency equipment.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
Document accurately in the EMR and maintain patient safety standards.
Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies.
