Job summary

McDonough District Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide expert nursing care, perform assessments, plans, and evaluations for ED patients. The role includes supervising care, coordinating treatments, and executing physician-ordered procedures within a fast-paced ED.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license with CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus CPI. The ED RN will maintain infection control practices and contribute to department-wide quality

Qualifications

• Current IL RN license required.
• CPR certification required (or obtainable within 90 days).
• ACLS and PALS certifications required (or obtainable within 180 days).
• CPI certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate professional nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Provide, arrange, teach and supervise nursing care within the ED.
• Carry out treatment, diagnostic and preventative procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Perform other assignments as required.
