Job summary

Rayhealthcare seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, administer medications, and document in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; maintain MO licensure or compact license.
• Maintain BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications; TNCC and ESI certification required within first year.
• Complete annual CareLearning and other compliance courses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid assessments using ESI triage to determine acuity and prioritize care.
• Initiate interventions and provide nursing care per clinical judgments and standards.
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures per orders and policies.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while following protocols.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
• Provide education to patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and prevention.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation of care, interventions, and evaluations.
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
• Adhere to hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in ED policy development and workflow improvements.
• Support orientation and teamwork among ED staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
