Job summary

Emerus seeks an experienced Emergency Room nurse to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced ER. The role requires strong clinical nursing knowledge, documentation discipline, and strict infection control practices.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree (BSN preferred), active RN license in PA, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS (ENPC may substitute for PALS). Act 33/73 clearances must be obtained prior to start date.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license without sanctions required.
• 2+ years of full-time RN ER or comparable experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency required (written and spoken).
• Pennsylvania candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances within last 5 years or prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-specific nursing care in the ER.
• Complete accurate, legible documentation on medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and physiological status of patients.
• Follow physician orders in delivery of nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures.
