Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department at Sunnyside Medical Center in Oregon. The role involves assessing, planning, directing, providing and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with the health care team.

Responsibilities include multidisciplinary coordination, patient education, discharge planning, and accurate documentation in the EMR. Requires ED experience, Oregon RN license, and BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• RN with minimum nine months of experience
• Current ED experience or completion of Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship Program in the Emergency Department
• Basic Life Support required at hire
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course or Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
• Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course required

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients
• Coordinate patient care activities with hospital departments and community agencies
• Document in EMR and follow policy for care plans and teaching
• Administer medications accurately and respond to emergencies
