Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Maine is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a fast-paced ED. You will provide direct patient care, including rapid assessment, triage, and management of high-acuity cases, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

This full-time role offers a $37.00–$51.28 hourly pay range, 12-hour evening shifts, and opportunities for professional growth within a modern acute care environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate required on hire.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire.
• PALS/ENPC within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department (ED).
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and prioritization of care.
• Respond to acute changes, trauma, and life-threatening conditions.
• Interpret labs, diagnostics, and patient symptoms.
• Communicate patient status with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge instructions.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, and patient safety standards.
• Report suspected abuse/neglect per regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
