Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care on a 3 x 12 schedule in a fast-paced ED, with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualified RNs must have an active state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications (or equivalents), with BSN preferred. New graduates may qualify for a $10k sign-on, with eligibility details discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The RN delivers safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in Telemetry.
• Directs patient/family teaching and guides nursing staff while maintaining professional standards.
• Communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition and diagnostic results.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
