Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician III to join the care team in a 32-hour per week, day-shift role. This role supports nursing staff, takes vitals, and assists with patient needs in a high-demand Emergency Department setting in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with BLS certification.
• English language communication skills required; ability to read and follow instructions.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and patient information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under licensed supervision and assist nursing staff.
• Communicate observations to the RN regarding patient status and changes.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility for patients.
• Take vital signs, record data, and perform basic unit tasks as directed.
• Support unit operations, including equipment handling and supply management.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
