Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough seeks a Patient Care Tech III to support the Emergency Department and related areas. You will assist with patient care under licensed supervision, help the healthcare team, and perform related unit secretary duties as needed.

The role requires BLS and a high school diploma, with preference for PCT II/III or EMT experience. Evening shift, 32 hours weekly, with potential signing bonus discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Experience in acute care/hospital settings or EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under licensed clinician guidance to meet personal needs and comfort.
• Assist members of the healthcare team and support internal/external customers.
• Perform unit secretary duties, telemetry monitoring, or remote video monitoring as assigned.
• Cross-train in phlebotomy and telemetry where applicable.
• Maintain logs, charts, and medical records per department procedures.
