Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED/ER). The role covers evenings with 3-12 hour shifts, delivering safe patient care in Telemetry using the nursing process and coordinating with physicians. EMTALA compliance and patient privacy are upheld.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintain.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• ECRN or MICN certificate within 12 months of hire and maintained.
• EDAP certified facilities: completion of required annual education.
• NRP certificate within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• TNCC required within 12 months; TNCC preferred for non-trauma facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and nursing activities.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and document accordingly.
• Maintain EMTALA compliance and patient privacy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
