Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX, is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Emergency FSED NE opening. The RN delivers patient-centered care in collaboration with providers and care team, using established nursing models to support exceptional patient outcomes and patient experience.

Responsibilities include pain assessment, timely documentation, and patient education on conditions, plans, and self-management. We promote equality and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date (RN).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• PALS or ENPC must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Document administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
