Job summary

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team and provide direct patient care across departments. You will collaborate with physicians, nurse managers, and coworkers to monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in treatment.

A strong foundation in Med-Surg/ICU is preferred. Responsibilities include head-to-toe assessments, pain management education for patients and families, medication safety, and adherence to clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Idaho required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications preferred.
• Telemetry/dysrhythmia knowledge is an advantage.
• PALS recommended for pediatric situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe patient assessments and reassessments as per policy.
• Assess and manage patient pain and educate on pain control.
• Revise care plans based on patient response and daily evaluations.
• Perform point-of-care glucometer testing per policy.
• Interpret lab results and notify providers as required.
• Administer medications safely following five rights.
• Educate patient and family; document learning outcomes.
• Assist physicians with procedures as needed.
