Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for its Emergency Department. The 32-bed unit offers 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling, and an every-other-weekend rotation designed to support work-life balance and ongoing clinical growth.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
