Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a social worker to support the Social Work Emergency Psychiatry Services. The role involves two 10-hour shifts in the Emergency Psychiatry Service and two 10-hour shifts in the Bridge Clinic, Brookline locations, delivering biopsychosocial assessments and short-term therapy.

Responsibilities include collaboration with care teams, risk assessment, discharge planning, and case management for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work required.
• Massachusetts LCSW or LICSW license required.
• Experience in medical social work preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work services to patients and families with medical and environmental challenges.
• Perform biopsychosocial assessments and trauma-informed interventions.
• Developing and implementing risk assessments and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with care teams and community agencies for discharge and follow-up.
• Provide short-term therapy and stabilization as needed.
