Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a social worker for the Social Work Emergency Services team to support patients and families in the Emergency Department and inpatient units. This 100% onsite role involves weekend evening hours (Saturday-Sunday 3-11:30PM) with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and shift differential for weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work required.
• State MA LCSW or LICSW is required.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work services to assist patients and families with personal, family, medical and environmental difficulties.
• Perform psychosocial and risk assessments, assigning diagnoses and developing and implementing interventions and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with health care team and community agencies to plan, implement and follow up on treatment and provision of needed services.
