Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital’s Social Work Emergency Services team provides biopsychosocial assessments and trauma-informed interventions in the Emergency Department and inpatient units. We are seeking a social worker for weekend evening shifts, 3-11:30PM, onsite, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and weekend differential.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work and MA LCSW/LICSW licensure, strong clinical skills, and preferred Spanish language abilities.

Qualifications

• MSW degree required.
• Licensure as MA LCSW or LICSW required.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work services to patients and families with personal, family, medical and environmental difficulties.
• Perform psychosocial assessments, develop and implement interventions and treatment plans.
• Coordinate discharge planning and outpatient service planning with care team and community agencies.

Position Summary/Department Summary:

Boston Children’s Hospital’s acclaimed Social Work Emergency Services team responds to social needs and issues in the Emergency Department and throughout inpatient services. This includes performing biopsychosocial assessments, as well as implementing trauma-informed, strengths-based interventions. We also provide management and advocacy for both patients and families. Boston Children’s Hospital’s acclaimed Social Work Emergency Services team responds to social needs and issues in the Emergency Department and throughout inpatient services. We are currently seeking a social worker for our e/o weekend Saturday and Sunday evening position 3-11:30PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing clinical social work services to assist patients and families with personal, family, medical and environmental difficulties.


• Performing psychosocial and risk assessments, assigning diagnoses and developing and implementing interventions and treatment plans.


• Participating in planning and implementation of discharge and outpatient service plans and collaborating with health care team and community agencies to plan, implementing and following up on treatment and provision of needed services.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• A master’s degree in social work

Experience:

• Strong clinical skills and experience with various therapeutic modalities.


• Previous medical social work experience a plus


• Spanish language skills are a plus

Licensure/Certification:

• State of MA LCSW or LICSW is required.

Position Details

This position is 100% onsite and eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus, and additional shift differential pay for working weekend evening hours!
