Job summary

Georgia Department of Public Health seeks an Emergency Preparedness Training and Exercise Coordinator to lead district-wide training and exercise programs. The role focuses on assessing needs, planning and facilitating exercises, and coordinating after-action reviews to improve readiness.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 3 years of training/educational delivery experience, or 1 year in a lower rank (Training & Development Specialist 2).
Experience in exercise planning, development, facilitation, or evaluation is preferred.
Strong documentation and reporting skills, and ability to track corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Coordinate emergency preparedness training and exercises across the public health district.
Assess training needs and gaps; participate in hazard analyses to prioritize training.
Develop and maintain training schedules and materials; coordinate exercise activities.
Prepare after-action reports and improvement plans; track corrective actions.
Ensure NIMS training requirements are communicated and documented; maintain records.
