Job summary

GP Strategies Government Solutions is seeking an experienced Emergency Preparedness Exercise Manager to lead the planning, design, development, coordination, and execution of emergency preparedness exercises for first responders and emergency management professionals across the United States.

The role focuses on developing innovative exercise programs that enhance preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation, and will oversee both discussion-based and operations-based exercises across

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience serving as a lead planner in emergency management exercise design and development.
• Master Exercise Practitioner Program (MEPP) certification completed.
• Experience planning, coordinating, and executing emergency preparedness exercises.
• Knowledge of emergency management principles, preparedness doctrine, and exercise methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, development, coordination, and execution of emergency preparedness exercises and training events.
• Develop realistic exercise scenarios that test and validate emergency response capabilities and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with instructors, emergency management professionals, government stakeholders, and subject matter experts to ensure successful exercise delivery.
• Manage exercise planning teams and facilitate planning meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions.
• Develop exercise objectives, scenarios, event documentation, participant materials, and evaluation criteria.
• Support the execution of tabletop, workshop, drill, functional, and full-scale exercises.
• Oversee exercise evaluation activities and development of after-action reports and improvement plans.
