Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled EPSS technician to service and repair emergency power supply systems. You will perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, read schematics, and conduct commissioning for industrial products.

The role includes after-hours support and reporting in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has 4 years of EPSS experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain Generac certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; EPSS experience preferred.
• 4 years servicing and troubleshooting EPSS.
• Valid driver license.
• Ability to obtain Generac certification in air-cooled and protector series.
• Excellent troubleshooting and independent decision-making.
• Ability to communicate findings and detailed reports within 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair of generators.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on generators.
• Read manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform maintenance/repairs.
• Detect faults and report issues to service manager in a timely manner.
• Stay current on NFPA and State regulations for EPSS.
• Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.
• Communicate findings via phone, email, and in-person.
• Conduct equipment commissioning for industrial and MPS products.
