Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass NCDOJ Background Check.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency dispatching.
• Proficiency in operating CAD systems.

• Ability to remain calm and focused under high-stress situations.
• Excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal law enforcement protocols.
• Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls from the public and law enforcement agencies.
• Dispatch appropriate police units and security guards to incidents and ensure timely response.
• Monitor and operate multiple communication systems, including radios, CAD systems, and CCTV cameras.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and dispatch activities.
• Provide real-time information and support to field officers, including background checks and warrant information.
• Coordinate with other emergency services and departments as necessary.
• Follow established protocols and procedures for handling various types of incidents.
• Perform regular checks of equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
• Provide support in crisis situations, including mass casualty incidents, natural disasters, and all other emergencies.
