Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Police Dispatch Analyst I to join the Dallas Police Department. You will analyze calls, coordinate with field units, and dispatch resources using the CADS system to support 911 responses.

Under supervision, you will handle multiple emergencies, communicate effectively, and maintain accurate information for responders while contributing to a safe community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of dispatch/public safety experience, preferably in a heavy-traffic environment.
• Ability to obtain NCIC/TCIC/CJIS certification during probation.
• Must obtain TCOLE Basic Telecommunicator License during probation.
• Must obtain Emergency Police Dispatch Certificate.
• Must obtain Expediter/Service Desk Personnel License.

Responsibilities

• Determine significance of the call and assign appropriate police resources.
• Operate CADS and monitor officer status.
• Provide real-time incident updates to first responders.
• Communicate clearly in high-stress situations and coordinate with field units.
• Maintain situational awareness and ensure data accuracy across systems.
