Job summary

The Gaston Group, LLC is seeking a dedicated Emergency Dispatcher to handle both emergency and non-emergency calls. You will verify locations, input data in the CAD system, and provide pre-arrival instructions while coordinating with units via radio.

Responsibilities include running NCIC checks, assisting with warrants, and maintaining situational awareness through daily policy reviews and training participation. This role requires 12-hour shift availability, including nights and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to meet state certification requirements.
• Must obtain NC Dept. of Criminal Information and emergency dispatch certifications (as specified).
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls, assess needs, and input data in CAD.
• Operate department radio, dispatch calls, update unit status, and relay information.
• Perform NCIC checks and warrant/status inquiries via e-Warrants and related systems.
• Maintain current policies, review training documents, and participate in training sessions.
• Assist other departments and outside agencies as needed.
