Job summary

JPS Health Network seeks a Police Communications Officer responsible for operating CCTV, alarm, phones, and radio equipment. You will receive public calls, coordinate with Fire/EMS, and ensure data entry to TCIC/NCIC/CAD systems with strict adherence to protocol.

The role requires handling emergency and non-emergency inquiries, maintaining records, and ensuring secure access control within the Communications Center. Fort Worth location; full-time, hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications within one year of hire.
• Texas Basic Telecommunications Certification within one year of hire date.
• TCIC/NCIC Full Access Certification within one year of hire date.
• Preferred: twelve college credits and experience in telecom or law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming emergency and non-emergency phone calls.
• Dispatches appropriate units and notifies supervisors as needed.
• Transmits/receives messages between agencies and departments.
• Maintains access to and operation of CCTV, alarms, and radio systems.
