Hawaiian Electric Company in Kahului, Maui seeks an Emergency Planning & Preparedness Program Manager to lead emergency management and incident response efforts for the Maui region.

Reporting to the Manager, EPP, you will guide ESRP and Emergency Action Plans, coordinate IMT activities, and ensure company-wide alignment of emergency preparedness programs.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, training, drills, and continuous improvement of the emergency response infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Onsite Subject Matter Expert for emergency management and incident response.
  • Leads IMT efforts as the on-site Incident Advisor.
  • Develops and executes EPP policies and plans, including ESRP and Emergency Action Plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the functions and activities of the EPP programs and IMT working group across the company.
  • Identifies and implements best practices and procedures for program maintenance; develops justification for projects including budget planning & forecasting.
  • Develops short and long-term department goals; sets priorities and drives implementation plans to strengthen emergency response infrastructure.
  • Drives incident management training through planning, drills, and exercises; incorporates industry best practices and lessons learned.
  • Delivers National Incident Management (NIMS) training related to ESRP and measures training outcomes.
