Job summary

HonorHealth’s Tempe Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role requires supervising and coordinating patient care, with a focus on stroke protocols and NIHSS, ensuring quality outcomes and staff development.

Requires a BSN from an accredited program and Arizona RN licensure. 2 years RN experience are required, 3 years preferred. A comprehensive magnet-ready education addendum applies; a bonus program up to $15,000 is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution.
• Legally licensed to work as a registered nurse in the State of Arizona.
• Stroke education requirements addendum referenced for magnet standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assesses, plans, coordinates, facilitates, and evaluates patient care and staff development.
• Assists the Clinical Director in unit staffing and performance management.
• Provide direct patient care per unit needs and collaborate with physicians on the medical plan of care.
• Ensure stroke knowledge, protocols, NIHSS, and stroke quality indicators are applied.
