Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for the Emergency Department and related clinical settings. You will perform nursing care independently according to treatment plans and adapt to contingencies while providing patient-focused care.

You will document history and care, educate patients and families, participate in safety practices, and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN License in the state of employment or compact required.
• Minimum 2 years of combined experience required in both the Emergency Department and one other specialty; 5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Addresses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
